Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno Toscane 2012

Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno Toscane 2012

Very dark color. Nose of spicy oak, black berries in a deep and complex way. Really tasty, young, long, with fruit, spices and oak being there, but the balance keeps all the flavors underground control. Will become a great wine. Excellent (91)

Dark on its center and orange on the rim. Beautiful aged Cabernet Sauvignon nose, almost Bordeaux-like. More rough on the palate, austere and less pretty. Overall it was a good wine event if did not reached my expectations. Very good (89)

Henri Prudhon & Fils Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères 2009

Henri Prudhon & Fils Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères 2009

Slightly gold color. This wine shows aromas of poached pear, spices and quite present oak. Round mouth with tropical fruit, grilled nuts and smoke. Long and tasty finish, balanced even if feels quite “powerful” for a white wine and the good presence of oak that tends to tone down with air. Still young, but very good! Alcohol level of 13,5%. Very good+ (90)

Clos Rougeard Les Poyeux Saumur-Champigny 2006

Clos Rougeard Les Poyeux Saumur-Champigny 2006

Medium garnet color. Deep nose of red berries, pepper, flowers, so fine and beautiful. The seduction follows on the palate with its silky mouth coating, so gentle. Then flavors of red fruit, a touch of grilled bell pepper, some spices, so long finish and really charms the taster! Tasted blind (with knowing which wine it is or have seen the bottle), I was aiming at a beautiful Côte-Rôtie. I was wrong, but still explainable with the finesse of the wine. First time with this particular wine, had before the “Clos” from the same vintage. This was a magnificent wine. Superb+ (94)

De Martino Legado Cabernet-Sauvignon Reserva Maipo 2008

De Martino Legado Cabernet-Sauvignon Reserva Maipo 2008

Dark ruby color. Typical nose of a Cabernet based wine beginning its maturation. It’s fine, fruity, have a hint of leather, of tobacco, some spices and bitter chocolate aromas. Silky yet still concentrated, this is just so good. Long tasty finish. This is the type of wine that would change your mind about cellaring Reserva range Chilean wines. For its showing and how much I’ve liked this wine, I’m giving this note: Excellent (91)
