Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Saint-Aubin 1er Cru La Chatenière 2013

Medium dark gold color. Complex nose of grilled pineapples, grapefruit, pear, spices, oak and just a hint of salty water breeze. Flavor profile is about the same with the addition of chalk, lime in a round mouthfeel that still gives room for the acidity to show. This is young or course and oak is there, but drank over 8 hours it did showed how good this will be after few years of ageing. Excellent+ (92)

Made of Chardonnay from vines planted in 1970. Aged in 350 litres oak barrels, 30% being new. Alcohol level of 12,8%

Chanson Père & fils Viré-Clessé Bastion de l’Oratoire 2013

Light and bright gold color. Nose of yellow apples, pears and lemon juice. Round mouthfeel with some fat texture, may lack some acidity, probably a result of the vintage, but the wine is quite tasty. Served with creamy pasta dish, it showed well! Very good (89)

Made of Chardonnay. Aged in oak barrels. Alcohol level of 13%

Ruby color. Nose full of fruit, spices and bacon fat notes. Palate loaded of fruit flavors, spices and is very complex. Will change constantly with air with a tighter finish, a sign that the wine is still young. Excellent+ (92)

Henri Prudhon & Fils Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères 2009

Slightly gold color. This wine shows aromas of poached pear, spices and quite present oak. Round mouth with tropical fruit, grilled nuts and smoke. Long and tasty finish, balanced even if feels quite “powerful” for a white wine and the good presence of oak that tends to tone down with air. Still young, but very good! Alcohol level of 13,5%. Very good+ (90)

Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2007

This wine show some complexity and depth. Aromas of white flowers, honey, wax, peaches and something different I can’t put a name on. Flavors where butter, honey, exotic fruits, spices goes along with a tight and fresh finish that helps with the weight of the wine. Very good+ (90)

Laurent Tribut Chablis 2010

Laurent Tribut Chablis 2010

Domaine Tollot-Beaut et Fils Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru 1999

Domaine Tollot-Beaut et Fils Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru 1999

Dark garnet with orange rim. Wild aromas of meat, of fern and berries. Seams a little harsh to me. Dense and complex mouthfeel with flavors of spices, small black berries and an enjoyable bitterness even if felt too serious (austere) and still structured. Tasted blind, I was thinking of an older Pommard wine. Very good (89)

Did not found any information about this wine and its ageing under oak. Alcohol level of 14%

Perrot-Minot Morey-St-Denis 1er cru La Riotte Vieilles Vignes 2002

Domaine Perrot-Minot Morey-St-Denis 1er cru La Riotte Vieilles Vignes 2002

The wine is quite dark. Up front spices aromas, but also have fruit, some green notes coming from the inclusion of whole cluster and oak still shows a bit. Chewy mouth feel with fruit flavors, load of spices, long and dense finish with a lot of structure left in the wine. Tasted blind, I was guessing a 1er Cru from 2005. Very good+ (90)

Made of Pinot Noir. Total production of about 2000 bottles per year, from a 0,5 Ha plot. Inclusion of up to 50% whole cluster depending on the vintage. Aged 12 to 14 months in oak barrels, 1/3 new, 1/3 one year and 1/3 2 years old. Alcohol level of 13%
