Pierre-Marie Chermette Coeur de Vendanges Beaujolais 2014
/in Tasting notes/by dansmonverrePierre-Marie Chermette Coeur de Vendanges Beaujolais 2014
Slightly purple ruby color, seems quite dark for a Beaujolais. Aromas of homemade strawberry jam, spices, earth all in a complex nose. Serious on the palate with fruits flavors, good amount of spices and a good acidity level. Finish with a touch of caramel. Feels like it is above its Beaujolais rank. Is it because it’s made of centennial vines? A fact is that I like it! Very good+ (90)

Domaine du Loup Blanc Le Régal Minervois 2012
/in Tasting notes/by dansmonverreDomaine du Loup Blanc Le Régal Minervois 2012
Dark purple-ish color. Nose of meat, spices and black berries. Despite its structure and chewiness, it does have freshness that goes well with the fruity flavors, the fine and integrated spices notes. Good length where a touch of minerals and leather is noticeable. I do recommend to put it in the cellar for few years to let it rest a little. Good+ (88)

Medium dense garnet color. Aromas of red berries, plum, leather, dry flowers and seems a little austere for now. More open, expressive and charming on the palate with the same flavor profile as what noticeable on the nose. This wine is fresh and is claiming for a place at your table to be shared and enjoyed. The color is dark and slightly purple. Powerful aromas of spicy black berries, dry fruits, earth, flowers and dust. Tasty and spicy with flavors of black licorice, black pepper, black berries, ripe blue grapes and floral notes. Silky on the palate, the wine is also structured feeling young and showing that it can handle few more years of cellaring. Very good+ (90)

A bit dry on the finish, this wine stays on the light side and fun to drink without being flabby. Table friendly wine that will pair well with pasta and/or anything tomato dishes. Good+ (88)
