Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso 2014

Bright and translucid ruby color. Nose of red berries with some green notes, earth and ashes. Good acidity level without being razor sharp, very fresh and never the alcohol level was an issue other than the smile that came in our faces. Was almost drinking like a Beaujolais! Same flavor profile with just enough concentration, balance and ends in a flavorfull finish. Drank quite rapidly! Very good+ (90)

The cork crumbled at bottle opening, but thankfully, nothing went into the bottle. Still brightly colored even if it did showed some bricking on the rim. Nose of candied berries, leather, old wood, smoke and sweet spices. Really tasty, it does deliver and give what I usually expect from a californian Bordeaux blend styled wine with a majority of Cabernet-Sauvignon; a good moment! Still have plenty of life, a very long finish and it tasted well through the 2 hours we took to go through the bottle. We enjoyed it quite a lot. Excellent (91)

Made of 70% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Aged 23 months in american and french oak barrels. Alcohol level  of 13,5%

Medium brick garnet color. Pretty nose of fruit, flowers, fine spices and leather. Fine, fresh and typical of Nebbiolo wines. Charming on the palate with balance between finesse and rusticity. Flavors of wild berries, dried flowers, leather, sweet spices, all this in a long lasting finish! Will be a Grand vin for sure and is drinking beautifully from now. Can’t imagine this wine but coming from a better vintage! Tasted with Elena Penna Currado from Vietti. Excellent+ (92)

Explosive fruit on the palate, then the spicy finish kicks in and ask to be brought at the table to pair with many types of dishes. E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Mouline 2006

The wine is quite dark colored. Fine nose of spices, luxurious but balance oak aromas that lift the wine instead of overpowering it. This will be so much more complex with more cellaring time! Flavors of berries, spices (cinnamon), flowers with a fatty and rich oaky twist but in the same time well integrated and balanced. It’s deep and complex even if in its early years because this wine is really young. Even so, the wine is good and drinks well, like an oak plate carring fruits on it. My first time ever with one of the threeLalalafrom Guigal. Tasted blind without knowing which wine it was. Superb+ (94)

Made of 89% Syrah and 11% Viognier. Aged 40 months in new oak barrels. Alcohol level of 13,5%

Guy Breton Régnié 2013

Foggy ruby color. Nose of red berries, earth, dried flowers and this typical nature scent. About the same on the palate in a discret flavor intensity as it is not a monster of concentration and the nature profile of the wine is bringing the fruit up instead of overpowering it. Tasty and drinks rapidly! Very good (89)
