Domaine du Possible Tout Bu or not Tout Bu Côtes du Roussillon 2015

Light ruby color. Nose of fresh red berries, aromatic herbs and sandy soil. May seems light on the palate, but the freshness, the red berries with the herbal notes, sweet spices and basil makes this wine so tasty. This wine IMO the perfect example of a chuggable wine! That may explain why we went through the bottle so quickly… Good+ (88)

Arboleda Carmenere Aconcagua 2015

Dark and can’t see through purple color. Nose of dark berries, warm spices, green Bell pepper, bitter chocolate and a hint of smoke and sandy soil. Very silky texture on the palate, it’s balanced, not heavyness here and there’s a light bitterness on the finish. Flavors of black berries, chocolate, light but enjoyable and well blended green notes. Long finish, thid wine would pair well with meat dishes. Good+ (88)

Georges Descombes Brouilly 2015

Ruby almost purple color. Nose of red and dark berries, there is some Concord grapes notes, but also spices and earth. This have everything the vintage calls for with ripeness and chewyness, but also the typical acidity you get from Gamay, then a light bitterness on the finish. Highly chuggable wine like I appreciate so much! Very good+ (90)

Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso 2015

Medium light ruby color. Bursting spices nose that leads to red berry aromas, crushed rocks and coal. Very flowery and more delicate on the palate than what the nose could’ve showed, long refine red berries and sweet spices, great acidity and looong finish. This is good! Could be described as a rock grown Pinot styled wineExcellent (91)

Château Cambon Beaujolais 2016

Bright and translucid ruby color. Nose of flowers, red fruits with spices and earth, a perfume a can’t be tired of smelling! This a perfect example of how elegant a Gamay wine can be. On the palate, there’s an explosion of red berries and fruits (cherries and strawberries), of acidity (not being to powerful too) and so enjoyable (that is an understatement!). Finish of sour berries that last a moment in a very fresh way. This is the type of wine I am currently seeking to quench my thirst. Very good+ (90))

Light golden color. Nose of pear, apples, lemon and wet rocks. Was quite shy on the palate, especially when too cold. But as it warmed up, it showed really beautifully! Bright, good acidity, apple, lemon and salty notes with a touch of honey on the finish bringing just a little roundness to the wine. It was really good! Very good (89)

Pinard et Filles Frangin 2016

Dark and light purple color. Nose of wild berries Concrad grapes, flowers and earth. This nose is deep, fresh and inviting. Same on the palate with great flavors, this sour-bitter duo that I like so much, because it’s what makes this type of wine so easy drinking, without being thin or dull. In fact, it’s the complete opposite, you want more of that fruit explosion wine. Long finish, longer than what it takes to empy your glasse. Then you need more… Very good+ (90)

Made of 60% Frontenac Gris (stainless tank fermented, then ended its fermentation into bottle) and 40% of Petite Perle (whole bunch fermentation in oak barrels). Blended a month prior to bottling. Organic farming, natural winemaking. Total production of 520 bouteilles. Alcohol level of 12%. Label art by Marc Séguin.

Was sold by allocation. Can be found in some restaurants.

Domaine de Fa Fleurie Roche Guillon 2015

Domaine de Fa Fleurie Roche Guillon 2015

Dense ruby color with purple hue. Nose of mixed berries, meat, spices, violet flowers and then something leafy. Dense, deep but tight nose. Complete opposite on the palate with expressive flavors, a good acidity level, could be mistaken for a warm year Crozes-Hermitage from the Graillot familly. Fine finish on sweet spices notes. This is for me the perfect match between gamay’s drinkability and syrah’s rusticity, with a great acidity level and real yummyness. Excellent (91)

Pinard & Filles Pornfelder 2015

Pinard & Filles Pornfelder 2015

Dark ruby color with purple hue. Nose of small berries, earth, spices, straw, blooming of freshness. Good concentration on the palate paired with a good acidity level. Flavors of sour fruit, spices, it’s juicy and chewy, has some depth and is simply quite tasty and joyful. Glad I could have that wine with its very limited production. Very good+ (90)
