Domaine Perrot-Minot Morey-St-Denis 1er cru La Riotte Vieilles Vignes 2002

The wine is quite dark. Up front spices aromas, but also have fruit, some green notes coming from the inclusion of whole cluster and oak still shows a bit. Chewy mouth feel with fruit flavors, load of spices, long and dense finish with a lot of structure left in the wine. Tasted blind, I was guessing a 1er Cru from 2005. Very good+ (90)

Made of Pinot Noir. Total production of about 2000 bottles per year, from a 0,5 Ha plot. Inclusion of up to 50% whole cluster depending on the vintage. Aged 12 to 14 months in oak barrels, 1/3 new, 1/3 one year and 1/3 2 years old. Alcohol level of 13%

Light and bright. Aromas of flowers, grape flavored candy, pure Gamay paradise! The level of enjoyment follows on the palate with loads of fruit flavors with earth and spices note. Very good+ (90)

Lightly colored. Aromas of citrus fruit, fresh pineapple and tree leaves. Bight acidity on the palate with a round and sappy finish. Flavors of grapefruit, yellow apples and a touch of minerality. Some freshness for the appetizer of a summer meal. Like it! Very good (89)

Made of Sauvignon Blanc. Aged in stainless tanks. Alcohol level of 12,5%

Velenosi Il Brecciarolo Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore 2012

Purple color. Aromas of black berries, smoke, dry herbs, tomato paste and blueberry pastries. Silky mouth feel with just a little more grip on the finish with spices and fine bitterness. Nice fruit flavors and this wine is quite versatile at the table. Great value. Good+ (88)

Made of Montepluciano (70%) and Sangiovese (30%). Aged in one year old oak barrels. Alcohol level of 13,5%

Camille Giroud Corton-Clos du Roi Grand Cru 2010

Ruby and shiny color. Explosion of red berries in a festive blend of aromas of sweet strawberries, anise, light caramel and vanilla. Sappy but delicate with fine oak notes, flavors of red fruit, pepper and minerals. Felt quite opened at this stage which, beside how I like the wine saddens me. I would have expected a wine with more structure and ageing capacities which I clearly doubt about it now. I comfort myself by telling myself that I enjoyed it. Excellent (91)

Made of Pinot Noir. David Croix is the winemaker for this wine. Ageing in oak barrels for 15 to 20 months with around 20% new barrels. Alcohol level of 13,5%
