Bright ruby color. Fine nose where homemade small berry jam pairs with garrigue style herbs. This have such beautiful aromas. Bright, great red berry flavors, some herbs, spices notes, it’s fresh, just round enough, good acidity. If California could offer more of that type of wine! Very good+ (90)

Made of own-rooted 100 years old grenache vines. Aged in neutral French oak barrels. Alcohol level of 13,0%

Domaine de la Rectorie Collioure Côté Mer Rosé 2014

Watermelon juice color. Fine and subtle nose of red fruits with citrus fruit and salty notes. Tastier on the palate, it charms! Far from being a sugary rosé, it’s even better with grilled dishes. Serious, deep with red berry flavors, roses, it’s salty with just a touch of aromatic herbs and spices. Came in late in my summer, otherwise I would’ve had many bottles of this. Very good+ (90) 

Made of grenache, syrah and carignan. Fermented in barrels and aged on lees for 6 months.  Alcohol level of 13,5% 

Almost all gone, but was sold in SAQ stores for 27,40$ (Code SAQ : 11632441)

Purple translucid color. Nose of small berry jam, pepper and earth and sand blend. Gorgeous on the palate and chewy, loaded of small berries with a nice acidity that bring up the finish. Top juice for the price! Good+ (88)

Made of Garnacha (Grenache). Organic farming. Aged 4-6 months in old and large oak barrels. Alcohol level of 14,5%

Purple color. Nose of smoke, black berries, plums, warm spices and oak. Silky and charming on the palate with its pastries notes, vanilla, chocolate, fruit, spices and oak flavors. Will pair well with the brother-in-law or a juicy steak. Good (87)

Made of  100% Grenache. Aged in tanks then 2 months in French oak barrels prior bottling. Alcohol level of 14%

Garnet color. Aromas and flavors of wild berries jam, aromatic herbs, serious while being pleasant to drink. Long and tasty finish with some heat, but so young. Nice classic style and well priced. Very good (89)

Made of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15%  Mourvèdre and 5% of other grape varieties. Aged 18 months. Alcohol level of 14%

Dark red cherry color. Aromas of heated spices, fruit notes, rocks and black licorice. Flavors are mouth coating with enjoyable red and blackberry jam, warm spices and a fresh finish. Well made (88)

Made of Syrah (60%) and Grenache (40%) from vineyards in Visan, Buisson, Vinsobres and Estézargues. Did not find any information about the ageing process of the wine. Alcohol level of 14,5%

I am not a natural born Grenache fan. Though, I’m curious and like to discover so I tried this one:

Glossy ruby color. Strawberry jam flavor with aromatic herbs and warm rocks. Fruity, round and chewy mouthfeel. This wine just drinks so easily. Very good+ (90)

Made of Grenache Noir. Vineyard and wine organic and biodynamic certified (ÉCOCERT, DEMETER). Alcohol level o 13%
