Semi-dark purple color. Nose of baked berries, super present warm spices notes and some earth. Chewy, charming, juicy with a more powerful finish than this type of wine usually offers, it is still drinking quite nicely and easily. Flavors of ripe berries and spices, everything to please the guests! If you still have some bottles around, dare to put some down in the cellar as this wine has all the structure needed to aged over a few years. Good+ (88)

Norman Hardie County Gamay VQA Prince Edward County 2014 

Light ruby color. To me, this smells typicaly like a County wine with red berries, clay, spices with herbacious and salty notes. Flavors of sour berries with a lively acidity, strawberries, rhubarb, sweet spices and a tart finish that shows an amazing fresh and salty finish. This is a real treat to me. About the same quality of a 2016 Morgon from Marcel Lapierre we had at the same time, even if my heart goes to this wine. Excellent (91)

Made of Gamay. Aged 10 months in French oak barrels. Alcohol level of 10,5%

Medium dark purple-ruby color. Nose where flowers, fresh red berries, earth and spices brings in freshness and balance as fruit ripeness is there. Follows on the palate crunchy and sour-bitter red fruit and a good acidity level. This wine is really fruit forward and with its lenght, everything is there to make this highly enjoyable! There is also, desides immediate satisfaction, depth and structure that makes this cellarable, but only if one have enough self-control not to drank them all quickly! Excellent (91)

Made of Gamay. Natural winemaking. Aged 8 months in 216 liters oak barrels. Alcohol level of 13%

Very dark ruby color. Nose of red berries, flowers, spices, licorice and rocky soil. On the palate there was sour cherry flavors, red berries, floral and licorice notes, but the freshness of this wine is was impreses the most, especioally for a wine coming out of a really warm vintage. Great lenght too. Very good+ (90)

Made of Gamay. Natural winemaking. Did not found any information of the ageing on this wine. Alcohol level of 13,5%

Dark ruby color. Nose of red berries, flowers, smooth spices, then earth and tobacco. Explosive sweet red fruits on the palate with cranberries, dried flowers, spices, it’s intense, chewy, there is acidity, lenght and so enjoyable. When Gamay grapes are shaking you, it’s because it’s that type of wine! Excellent (91)

Made of Gamay planted on granit soils. Natural winemaking, no sulfur added. Aged in large oak barrels. Alcohol level of 13%

Bright and dense ruby color. Nose of wild berries, earth, spices, it’s deep, serious yet the Gamay’s “happiness” is neither covered up nor faded by it. Concentrated on the palate with minerals, spices, slightly earthy with acidity and some bitterness on the finish. A young Beaujolais wine that gets more expressive after 2 hours of air contact. Very good (89)

From Gamay grown on a small lot of 50 years old vines. Aged 12 months in 3-4 wines old oak cask and barrels. Alcohol level of 12,5%

Dark and shiny ruby color. Nose of strawberries, cranberries, aromatic herbs, spices and earth. Flavorful, does have some depth, have notes of spices and the finish shows a good acidity level. Medium structured, it doesn’t stop one to drink it quite rapidly! Very good (89)

Pretty bright ruby color. Nose of flowers, berries, some aromatic herbs, then earth and spices. Charming nose of natural Gamay wine at its best. There is so much fruit notes in that wine! It’s sappy, enjoyable, thirst your quench for sure, then show some structure with spicy and mineral notes. It will be hard no to drink quickly the bottles I have… Very good+ (90)

Vineyard of 8ha of vines from 10 to 90 years of age. Aged 6 to 9 months in used oak barrels that were previously used to age Burgundy wines. Alcohol level of 12,5%

Dense ruby color pith purple hue. Nose of earth, savory herbs, cherry pits, gooseberry and some flower notes. Wide and tasty on the palate, the wine feels juicy, sun loaded (fruit ripeness can be feeled), then spices and earth flavors on a present acidity, but far from being bright or sharp. A good Lapierre, but not the best I’ve had. Very good (89)
