Domaine du Possible Tout Bu or not Tout Bu Côtes du Roussillon 2015

Light ruby color. Nose of fresh red berries, aromatic herbs and sandy soil. May seems light on the palate, but the freshness, the red berries with the herbal notes, sweet spices and basil makes this wine so tasty. This wine IMO the perfect example of a chuggable wine! That may explain why we went through the bottle so quickly… Good+ (88)

Being neighbor with Morgon stars Lapierre, Foillard and Breton, it must be inspiring to be around them! Since he also worked with Guy Breton, his experience did help when he started making his own wines back in 2006. No addition of yeast, sugar, sulfur of other “ingredients”. His wine are made in the most natural way possible!

Here is my tasting note on his Chiroubles:

Cherry red color. Typical fruity nose of Gamay wines with explosive red berries, earth and spices with just a hint of funkiness. Pure red fruit expression on the palate with crushed rocks and a finish with black pepper notes. Highly enjoyable and thirst quencher, this is a great Beaujolaiswine! Very good (89)

Made of Gamay. Natural winemaking. Aged 9 months in oak barrels. Alcohol level of 12%

Very dark ruby color. Nose of red berries, flowers, spices, licorice and rocky soil. On the palate there was sour cherry flavors, red berries, floral and licorice notes, but the freshness of this wine is was impreses the most, especioally for a wine coming out of a really warm vintage. Great lenght too. Very good+ (90)

Light ruby color with purple hue. Nose of small berries, spices, earth and this light natural wine funkyness. There is a great acidity in this wine which is good since it comes from the warm 2015 vintage, and I like that! Then there was berry flavors ,earth and spices notes. It was quaffable, fresh and really good. You’re looking for a wine that will pair with heavyier winter dish? This one’s for you! Very good (89)

Purple color but you can see through. Nose of cherries, fresh mushrooms, earth and some spices. On the palate the fruit is so pure, true, there is no “makeup“, it’s good, juicy, enjoyable. The flavors goes from red berries to spices, while also showing earth notes, all with a great depth. There is wine in there, but it’s not heavy, there is acidity but its not biting. Also have lenght and balance. This is litterally to me a Grand natural wine because it has everything you want but the flaws. Excellent (91)

Bright ruby color with purple hue. Slightly funky on the nose, which is common with natural wines, but it did disappeared with air. The nose is on crushed red berries blended with spices and earth notes. The fizz present at bottle opening did cleared out too with time. From the first sip, I know this was going to offer high drinkability. Flavors of red berries, spices and earth again. There is acidity in this wine and the ripe fruit flavors are not lowering the enjoyability of it. This is what natural and organic should be all about. The last third of the bottle drank 2 days after the bottle was opened was even better. Would I put this wine in a decanter? I think so! A really well made wine. Very good + (90)

Jean Foillard Morgon Cuvée Corcelette 2014

Jean Foillard Morgon Cuvée Corcelette 2014

Clear and foggy ruby color. Verybarny” at bottle opening, it did disapeared with some air, thankfully!. Then came the berry notes with spices, earth, inviting and fresh. Flavors of red berries, earth, flowers, there is acidity but also a texture to the wine. It’s tasty and long. This is again a good wine from Foillard, but still youn and reserved with, for my taste, too much barnyard for now. A few years of cellaring shall take care of that! Very good + (90)

Dark ruby color. Nose of red berries, flowers, smooth spices, then earth and tobacco. Explosive sweet red fruits on the palate with cranberries, dried flowers, spices, it’s intense, chewy, there is acidity, lenght and so enjoyable. When Gamay grapes are shaking you, it’s because it’s that type of wine! Excellent (91)

Made of Gamay planted on granit soils. Natural winemaking, no sulfur added. Aged in large oak barrels. Alcohol level of 13%
